I needed to find a good Church in Los Angeles. I google searched Church Near Me that teaches the true word of God. Core Church LA popped
up. I remember I have heard pastor Steve preach on 95.5 KKLA. So I call my mom and ask her what is the best church to go to in Los Angeles? She tells me go to the Chruch that Steve Wilburn pastors. She said I have heard him on the radio and I remember his name it sounded familiar. I look up his name and Core Church LA pops up the same church that was first in my google search! I’ve been reading the Bible for the past 14 years. I was stuck half way in the book of revelations and stopped reading the Bible for a little time maybe 2-3 years. So when I first came to Core Church it was in 2019. I am instantly greeted by the most awesome family of Christ you can imagine instant fellowship and welcome arms. I sit in the service and guess what Pastor Steve is preaching in the book of revelations in the exact same chapter that I stopped reading at in three years ago. I followed through with him through the whole study of the book of revelations and that was the Holy Spirit signifying to me this is the church you need to be in! Not only did I finish reading revelations but I understood what it meant and God has been revealing His word incredibly to me now. After I finish reading revelations I started reading the old testament because I started in the New Testament first and I will have finished reading the whole Bible cover to cover by the end of this year. I promised God I would read the Bible before He would come back and it could be any day now so pick up the word of God the Bible your armor from God Himself come to Core Church and get filled up with the Holy Spirit and let’s spend eternity in heaven together rejoicing and celebrating with our father Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. I plan on reading the Bible every year for the rest of my life now every morning when I wake up fellowship with the Lord. This church will help you grow in the Lord God bless you all and see you at church!
Guys I Just passed by and I would love to visit but I'm looking at the reviews and some people are not satisfied at all. this is God's house we have to take care of everything even the smallest detail we have to make it better if we want to bring people to God's house if we want to fight for New souls.
I am congregating at the moment at 1 of God's house and it's been 1 year and 3 days that I started coming here and I rather be at this place than to be home. It is very nice when people feel like this about the place they go to.
I wanna send a message to whoever is reading this even if you congregate or not. God will always help you no matter the circumstances no matter where you are standing no matter how deep you are in the hole he will always be there for you no matter what.
God is always in front of you making way, he walks with you day and night, believe it victory is here, When everything seems impossible and you don't see a solution in front of you view God has a miracle for you socials come raise your hand and get what's yours. God bless you always.....
While I no longer call Core Church 'home,' I am very grateful for the time I spent there. Core helped me find my faith in the Lord again after my 'prodigal daughter' years. Pastor George Llerna (no longer there) was the glue that held the Awaken Young Adults ministry together at that time; my now-husband and I met at this ministry and we are forever grateful for how it shaped our relationship and faith. We will always have fond memories of Core Church & are grateful for the solid Bible teaching that they preach. If you're in the West LA Area, Core Church is the place to be. Zeal is the new Young Adults Ministry, led by Pastor Abel and is also a great place for young people to grow in their faith and find community. We wish Core Church all of the Lord's continued blessing!
Walked over and 1st/ Last time attempt to visit.
First off Credit to Today's Greeter; a very nice Lady.
However- A man in a pick up truck with Arkansas plates was in the parking lot and I attempted to walked up & ask where the church main entrance was located. He looked directly at me and refused to open his window and drove away from me ??????
The next thing I saw once I reached the entrance < better signage maybe> was a rounder full of CHURCH MERCH! I was totally turned off now. Again the greeter was very welcoming! But the attitude of the parishoners and the hawking of tees RIGHT at the entry way was a 100% no go. I literally saw Yeshua Jesus flipping the tables over and rebuking the money changers. Def Not returning. I need a peaceful warm space and am not interested in an old warehouse property with Old Navy junk propped at the entry. I Really wanted to check it out and honestly thought about walking back home after the man ignored me. But I def wanted to try and see what the vibe was.
It's been almost four years since I've been actively committed to and involved in a local church fellowship - waaaay too long! I'm a recent transplant from the Valley and have been praying for God to bless me with a church-family I could be a part of. About a month ago, on a Monday after work, I drove past and noticed Core Church (never hear of it before) on my way to a massage appointment. On my way back home, it was dark and Core Church's lights caught my attention. After I got home, I looked up their website from Google Maps and saw they have Thursday night service - I went. Sunday service was a given. Their Women's Study started that following Tuesday - I signed up. They have a bunch of Home Groups so I emailed Pastor Kevin (Fri) and Pastor Shannon (Wed) as they're the two closest groups to my place - I go to both cause they're awesome! Got invited to another study group's potlove/worship night - had a great time. I just signed up to volunteer and I'm super excited to going+doing God's will alongside my sisters and brothers at Core Church! I praise God for His loving kindness and faithfulness in bringing me to this wonderful church-family of mine! Thank You, Jesus💗
Incredible place of worship, pastor Steve is completely transparent about Gods word as it pertains to how we should live our lives as believers, I personally enjoy the political talk if it does happen, first of all if we can’t talk politics openly with so much going on that directly affects our freedoms and safety especially here in Los Angeles then we might as well be mutes, 2nd the political comments literally last less than a minute, 3rd it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand LA has become a giant dumpster under democratic leadership just like every other democratic led big progressive city from New York to Chicago to Portland to Philly, so anyone complaining about it being too much politics should prolly just continue living in verbal fear as our city continues to get devoured by crime and filth
Pastor Steve takes the side of the word of GOD, that's why I admire, support, and pray for him! If you are offended by that, then go to a dead church like many Christians do! Pastor Steve calls sin out like he is commanded to do! Many pastors are afraid of losing support, so they allow sin to go unchecked in the church! The US is divided because of this, but if folks read the bible daily, they'd know which side is demonic!!! Love you Pastor Steve, I listen to you on the radio and YouTube!!!
I have only been once. I tried last week but there was no parking which was frustrating because I drove all the way from Northridge. However I LOVED my first experience that a friend invited me 2. I’m struggling to go again with this friend because he has a severe drinking problem, but I feel if I agree to go with him, the service will inspire him and realize he needs help. God says we should help others. I don’t know what to do. Maybe the pastor can address this topic during his service.
